API

The API calls one or more templates you’ve built in our Templating + DocGen app, populates placeholders with data from your source systems, and generates either a single merged PDF or multiple PDFs. Configure the API to store the output in any document library or securely save it in Nomia’s document library.

If e-signing is required, signatory details are passed from your source systems and a secure signing link is emailed to signatories. The link can also be shared via other preferred channels. Once signing is complete, a webhook sends a notification and triggers the API to download and store the finalized documents wherever you prefer.

Supported variable content:

  • Text: Populate placeholders in the body, header, or footer

  • Images: Insert Base64-encoded images into designated placeholders

  • Tables: Add multiple rows into dynamic table placeholders

A key differentiator is that template authors can update both content and formatting directly in the Nomia templating app, without IT involvement, and those updates do not require any API changes. This dramatically reduces the IT team’s workload and enables template authors to iterate quickly and freely.
